This was the view from the top of Joder Mt. at around 3:00 PM on 10/29/03. It took 6 photos to get this amazing 180 deg. view.
I climbed to the top of the next ridge over from JAR, up by the quarry. Another from the quarry ridge. Looking to the north from the Joder house. The smoke plume went for miles to the east. Still on duty atop Joder Mt. about 9:00 PM - notice the WEST direction of the smoke, the fire has turned back on it'self.

The Overland fire like any fire gets our attention during the summer season. That is why we have one of the most comprehensive fire plans ever submitted to the Boulder County Sheriff's office and the Left Hand Fire District Chief.
